Papa Shirandula actress Kawira must be a happy soul. Not only is she going to get paid royalties for her hard work, she must be proud of her hubby who will make that happen.

Ephantus Kamau is now the new chairman for the Performers’ Rights Society of Kenya (PRISK), a Collective Management Organisation licensed to collect and distribute royalties on behalf of performers (musicians and actors).

“Our mission is to manage performer’s rights effectively and efficiently through collecting, remuneration on behalf of the rights of holders from various users of performers’ works and distributing royalties to the rights holders,” Ephantus said in a statement.

A while back, Kawira advised Kenyans to believe in themselves and not to compare themselves to others.

‘IF A ROSE SMELLS BETTER THAN CABBAGE, IT DOESN’T MEAN THE ROSE CAN MAKE A BETTER STEW. DON’T TRY TO COMPARE YOURSELF TOO MUCH TO OTHERS. YOU ALSO HAVE YOUR OWN STRENGTH, SEARCH ON IT AND BUILD ON IT. YOU MAY MAKE BETTER STEW THAN THEY THINK. SMILE ALWAYS.’

I guess that is encouragement enough for her hubby.
