Papa Shirandula actress Kawira must be a happy soul. Not only is she going to get paid royalties for her hard work, she must be proud of her hubby who will make that happen.

Ephantus Kamau is now the new chairman for the Performers’ Rights Society of Kenya (PRISK), a Collective Management Organisation licensed to collect and distribute royalties on behalf of performers (musicians and actors).

"Our mission is to manage performer’s rights effectively and efficiently through collecting, remuneration on behalf of the rights of holders from various users of performers’ works and distributing royalties to the rights holders," Ephantus said in a statement.

In a past interview, Ephantus who is a family man said:

"I JUST WANNA BE THAT DAD THAT MY CHILDREN WOULD LOVE TO EMULATE, WOULD STRIVE TO B A ROLE MODEL, MENTOR, AND A LOVING DADDY. I LOVE AND CHERISH EVERY SECOND WITH MY WIFE  KAWIRA JOY THEIR MOTHER."

Ephantus, will be filling big shoes, Nonini was the former chairman before he quit over claims of "mismanagement of funds" and being "frustrated" while carrying out his his duties".

Ephantus says: "Together with the Board of Directors, I shall ensure that PRISK achieves its objectives regardless of the challenges that we may encounter."

Adding, "Our main agenda will be to increase collections in order to distribute more to our members. We shall also focus on promoting local content consumption and maintaining good working relationships, by ensuring that there is teamwork among the board of directors, secretariat, PRISK members and other stakeholders."

He continued, "I will also engage the outgoing directors in order to get the right knowledge from their experience and better understand PRISK policies and procedures."

A while back, Kawira advised Kenyans to believe in themselves and not to compare themselves to others.

'IF A ROSE SMELLS BETTER THAN CABBAGE, IT DOESN'T MEAN THE ROSE CAN MAKE A BETTER STEW. DON'T TRY TO COMPARE YOURSELF TOO MUCH TO OTHERS. YOU ALSO HAVE YOUR OWN STRENGTH, SEARCH ON IT AND BUILD ON IT. YOU MAY MAKE BETTER STEW THAN THEY THINK. SMILE ALWAYS.'

I guess that is encouragement enough for her hubby.
