JCC Church founder Kathy Kiuna has advised Kenyans not to go into marriage with expectations that it will be a bed of roses.

This is because in marriage couples sometimes go through challenges that can toughen or break someone.

Sharing a photo of herself during her father's burial, Kathy shared,

'Marriage is not just for good times but also for hard tough times.

As I had the last look at the first man I ever loved, my dad, my husband held me close all through and I cried so hard on his shoulders.

Before that it was his dad, after my dad it was his mum and I was the shoulder he cried on. For better for worse came so alive.

Kathy added that like any other relationship what you sow in marriage is what you reap.

'The one lesson I have learned in marriage for 26 years is that marriage is sowing and reaping.

If you sow good seed to each other you reap a great harvest. You sow bad seed you reap a great harvest.

You treat your spouse like trash but remember it’s seed, your harvest will come and you will need them badly but they won’t be there.'

Her advise to all is,

'Never tire sowing good seed. God sees, He knows and He understands and He will fight for you.'
