Days after Emmy Kogei called Kalenjin men introverted for being afraid of airing their feelings , they have responded.

Speaking during an interview this week Emmy said

“THERE IS NO KALENJIN MAN WHO CAME TO ME AND TOLD ME THEY WANT TO MARRY ME.

THIS IS WHY SOMETIMES ONE SEES SOMETHING IS GOOD BUT FAILS TO SPEAK UP.”

Below are the reactions to her sentiments.

Joshua Willies Angel: Emmy as per my understanding after watching her video-She was frank and honest to her words.

We  need to support our icon lady-lets stop mocking our own kalenjin lady

Godwin Kiprono: The blanket condemnation of Kalenjin men was stupid, she is married to a Nigerian I suppose she is happy, we are married to kalenjins, we are happy. Let everyone concentrate on their lives.

Eric Arap Koskei:One man's meat is another man's poison. Kila mtu ajipange tu na wake bila makasiriko.

Chebitok Blessed Binnie: So what are you trying to say? B

eing single is not a crime and there are several reasons for that which are individual specific.

I am in my early 30s, single and not about to get married any time soon and lam breathing in and out as I reply you Heheh.

The issue here is not to undermine our own brothers that hawajui Ku tune that was too low of her as a psychologist I know she is trying to justify herself.

Oriop Langat :Emmy should have just apologised for the slip of a tongue and this endless issues ingekuwa imeisha. She is born of a Tugen, Married to a man and whatever happens in romance life is subject of the two no need to bash your brothers.

Leon Tonui: She never mentioned names but mentioned a tribe just like she dated the whole tribe ,ama was she a community wife?

Kennedy Kisorio: Matters marriage depends on our schools of culture.

I was taught to look for one within my subtribe who knows the norms and if I go further within the Kalenjin, thats why during koito we are keen to know the totem.

William Too Arusei : No Emmy was wrong to condemn all of us if she found no worthy young Kalenjin Moran.

David Kiptoo Busienei: Emmy needs to be understood. That message hasn't been decoded rightly. The brutal reality is that Emmy is homesick and she has got justifiable reasons why this should be blamed on Kalenjin men.

The message is that she wouldn't have been cut off from the people she loves and her country of origin if only one Kalenjin man got really serious and made a determined move. lt's a painful confession which not so many of us are seeing.

This explains why she comes home every end of year for a concert or two. East or West, home is where the heart belongs. Therefore let's not add salt to injury.
