A man who allegedly raped a dog and later strangled it to death has been arraigned before a Kagundo court hours after his arrest.
Boniface Munyao was charged with killing an animal and committing an unnatural act with a dog.
It is alleged that he committed the offences on January 8 at 11 am in Isinya location Kajiado.
The charge sheet read that Munyao was charged for two counts.
Count one of his offences read:
'Killing an animal contrary to section 3 (1) (K) as read with section 3 of the prevention cruelty to animal cap 360 laws of Kenya.
On the 8th day of January 2020 at around 11:00am at Isinya location Kagundo sub county Machakos county willfully and unlawfully killed an animal namely a dog by strangling it with a rope.'
The second charge was having unnatural relations with animals contrary to section 162 (b) of the penal code.
'On the 8th day of January 2020 at around 11:00am at Isinya location Kangundo sub county within Machakos had canal knowledge with a dog.'
He denied the charge and was released on a Sh 100,000 bond and a surety of the same amount. The case will be mentioned on January 22.
