The High Court orders the retrial of rugby players Alex Olaba and Frank Wanyama who are serving 15 years in prison for raping a female musican in 2018.

The Court was told that the two Kenya Harlequin FC players raped the singer overnight on her birthday at Seefar Apartments in Highrise, Nairobi, on February 10, 2018.

Justice Ngenye Macharia has ordered for a retrial ruling that there was no evidence shown to court that one witness who testified against the two was ever sworn or not.

She has further quashed the 15 year jail term.

Alex Alaba and Frank Wanyama had been found guilty of rape.
