Dr Ofweneke is not your average comedian who just cracks jokes and leaves. He had a rebellious streak as a teenager.

In an interview with Jalango TV, we got to discover that just like many teenagers Dr Ofweneke has had a rebellious side during his high school years.

This resulted in him to constantly change schools due to expulsions and causing school strikes.

Speaking to Jalango on the Bonga na Jalas show he spoke of how he was sent away from various schools due to mischief and misconduct.

“High school number one ilikuwa Aga Khan  Westlands nikapatikana na mtoto wa mhindi  kwa grounds za games tukifanya ile kitu wazazi wetu hufanya nikaambiwa haiwezekani, he was expelled and so form 2 I went to lubino high school in mumias."

Adding,

"Nikakataa shule for like half a year. The third school he didn’t even last a week. Shule ya tatu ikakuwa waithaga iko muranga.... tukapigana na headboy siku ya kwanza nikaambiwa system haiezi kubali huyu kijana. so the other school was kirimara, nyeri nikachapa tena one day shule."

The final school he went to is where he completed his high school education though still mischevious and organized a strike.

"Ya mwisho mwea high school tukapanga strike  kwanza tulitoa nguruwe tukachinja nguruwe usiku ya strike tukaenda karoti girls tukatoa wasichana tukawaambia tokeni nje mnafanya nini na mabwana zenyu wako nje."

After finishing high school somehow, he managed to join Kenyatta University where in third year he dropped out to pursue comedy.
