'I am really suffering,' Jowie says after 431 days in remand

Joseph Irungu alias Jowie has been behind bars for more than a year.

Irungu, who's the main suspect in Monica Kimani's murder was yesterday at Milimani law courts, where he pleaded with the court to review his bail application saying, he's really suffering in prison.

You honor it has been 431 days. It's not easy and I'm yet to be proven guilty.

SO I WAS ASKING FOR THAT OPPORTUNITY,' he said.

Jowie who had been remanded at Kamiti Maximum Prison added that,

My second accused (Jacque Maribe) was granted bail and she never absconded court. I deserve the same.

Jowie's bail application hearing will be next heard Thursday.
