The father of two shared a post thanking Kenyans for the support and said he was getting better.

Hey good friends, your concern and prayers are really appreciated. I'm getting better each day!!.' he wrote.

His hospital bill is more than one million and the family is requesting help from well-wishers.

MCA Cossy Mumo a relative of Muema has called upon Kenyans to help them settle his hospital bill.

Our very good friend, Richard Muema, needs our help! On November 5th, Richard was in a shop when two individuals attempted to rob it at gunpoint. From the security footage and the statements from witnesses, it looks like Richard was lying on the floor when one of the robbers began shooting the shop worker. Richard then attacked the shooter, which likely saved the shop worker's life. In the process, he was shot 8 times in his belly and leg. As we learned more about what happened, no one was surprised he sacrificed himself for others; he has a huge courageous heart. Richard is Alive and admitted at KNH. Lets all support him in Prayers and Financially through Wilberforce Kasyoki 0727922306,' he posted.
