A bodyguard to Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho reportedly tested positive for Covid-19, and sent to quarantine with three others.

County chief of staff Job Tumbo however says the information is yet to reach him, further denying the reports, but promised to get back.

Joho had earlier traveled to Dubai to visit Raila Odinga who had jetted off for surgery.

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and Suna East MP Junet Mohamed flew to Dubai by Private Jet Airbus A318-112 (CJ) Elite A6-CAS, MS4211.

The trip caused an online uproar as it cost the taxpayers a cool Ksh 1.3 million per hour so the five hours they used to land in Dubai cost them Ksh 6.5 million.

Because it is a return ticket, it will total up to Ksh 13 million.

They might have been charged more on food and drinks based on their preferences and the number of the crew they requested for.

The plane will also charge them for the hours it stayed on the ground in Nairobi and Dubai before jetting back to Nairobi.

Call it living life on the fast lane.
