Some of the things our pastors say and do more often than not leaves us in shock.

Well, recently, a pastor in Kilifi county left mourners shocked after he claimed he was married to Jesus Christ.

The man of the cloth, who was presiding over a burial ceremony in Mwezang’ombe village in Kiwandani location, has become the talk of the town and everyone wants to meet him, at least, to give them his first encounter with the son of God.

"Praise the Lord, I am saved and apart from that I am married to my husband, Jesus Christ. I am somebody’s husband, but at the same time I am also someone’s wife," he said.

Everyone kept silent and he proceeded

"Yes, I have said that I am married to Jesus and I am not afraid to stand before you and tell you that Jesus is my husband whom I love very much."

Many seem to have not understood the meaning of his statement and went ahead to criticize the 64-year-old father of 13, claiming that he was a rogue pastor.

Here are the reactions;

"That is why I don’t go to church because these pastors always mislead us. They preach water and drink wine. I prefer playing at home and God has always been faithful to me. I am going to ask my wife if this is what she always spends the day in church listening to

If this is true, then I’ll ask her to stop going to church,"  a mourner said.

"What is this man of God telling us? Jesus was never married and He will never marry. He is out of his senses," another furious mourner said.

"Christians stop it. This is a total ignorance of Holy Scriptures. You like judging servants of God.This statement by the pastor is spiritual, not physical. Can you read Isaiah 54:5,6 &7.

Judge that for yourselves and know this, that judgement is at hand" said another one.

All Christians are a bride of Christ and will participate in the wedding of the Lamb(Christ) (Rev 19:6-9)...the pastor is right...only ignorance of scripture by mourners," a believer said.
