Jeff Koinange's Co-Accused Finally Released After Spending Weekend In Jail

Tony Gachoka and Jeff Koinange were recently fined 2 million shillings each for contempt of court. While Jeff quickly paid his fine, Gachoka wasn't able to raise the amount and ended up spending this last weekend at the Industrial Area Prison.

However, the political activist has since been freed after he moved to court to challenge the earlier ruling that gave him an option of the 2 million shillings fine or 6 months in jail.

High court judge Weldon Korir suspended the verdict until the case Gachoka has filed is heard and determined. Here's the receipt to Jeff Koinange's payment and clearance from the court case:
