Boss Moves: Janet Mbugua lands a new role as an International Gender Champion

Former Citizen TV host and Inua Dada Founder Janet Mbugua has landed a new role after being named an International Gender Champion (ICG).

According to ICG's website an International Gender Champions is a leadership network that brings together female & male decision-makers determined to break down gender barriers and make gender equality a working reality in their spheres of influence.

Taking to her social media to share the exciting news Janet penned,

'This was a pretty great announcement to wake up to over the weekend.

I’ve been named a gender champion by the International Gender Champions Network, alongside numerous global leaders.

A few years ago, I wouldn’t have imagined that I’d be getting such an accolade today, but I also knew there was a shift in me and I could no longer be silent on matters inequality.

'Equality, justice and fairness matter to me and they should matter to all of us. No one’s gender, race, religion or affiliation should deny them their rights.
