Media personality James Smart has bagged a top job at Nation media House where he will head the Podcasting department.
Announcing the news, Smart tweeted,
"Excited to join @NationMediaGrp to lead efforts in PODCASTING. New territories filled with so much potential and a personal passion of mine for a longtime."
Smart is an experienced journalist, he has worked for BBC, Capital FM, KTN and What's Good Live Studios as a prime-time television anchor, and talk-show host based in Nairobi.
The journey to the top has not been easy for Smart. In a past interview, he revealed,

He added,
“My grandfather was an office messenger so he always came home with an assortment of newspapers that I would diligently pore through the papers which triggered my interest in national issues at a very early age.”
His stint with TV began when he applied for a news anchor job at KBC, out of 300 applicants he topped the list. And as they say, the rest is history.
He describes himself as "Simply driven by ruthless ambition."
