Jaguar's Father, David Kanyi Awarded Kes 670,000 After Breaking His Leg

David Kanyi is the father of Starehe Constituency's Member of Parliament, Jaguar.

And the man has finally won his 10 year old case against the Nyeri Water and Sewerage Company that saw him haunt the annals of justice for a decade. Bwana Kanyi had sued the Nyeri Water and Sewerage Company after he fell and broke his leg in a manhole owned by the water company on October 1st, 2008.

Jaguar’s father spent two weeks admitted at the Nyeri General Hospital after he fell and broke his leg. He was rescued from the manhole by a passerby who took him to Mathari hospital before he was transferred to Nyeri General Hospital.

The court moved to the scene of the accident and found that the said manhole was yet to be covered during the hearing of the case.

he Daily Nation reported that the magistrate noted that the manhole was at the edge of the road, approximately two and a half metres from the road, and next to a four-feet deep trench.

The discovery made by the court was a major determining factor in the magistrate's ruling in favor of Jaguar’s father, Bwana David Kanyi. The court ordered Nyeri Water and Sewerage Company to pay Mr. Kanyi Kes 672,000.
