Jaffar Jackson was a fixture for LGBT rights when he first came out a couple of years to state that he was a woman trapped in a man's body. He caused quite the stir when he revealed this very personal information, with most Kenyans, as you would expect, being very critical about his stance.

Jaffar Jackson then tried to commit suicide four times, failing to achieve his mission every single time as he was saved by both friends and fate. But he knew that he needed a way out that suicide would not give him, so he took the spiritual route. He added:

"But in August of 2016 I got born again, at the Winner’s Chapel I stood at the pulpit, laid down all my truths including my past and came back to Nairobi early this year to make peace with my family. My family did a welcome party for the prodigal son and it was an amazing reunion because I felt like I put them through a lot in the past with my action is no longer a transgender."

Now he has a son and is currently dating his mother who he met in church, whom he says he plans to marry.
