Jacque Maribe is heading to Langata Women’s Prison today after a court ruled that that is where she is to be held until she has had a mental test at Mathare Hospital.
And while that may be shocking for many who are following the story, other revelations have hinted at how much Joe was potentially using Jacque. And it is an embarrassing account for any red-blooded male who believes in providing and protecting.
According to an interview with her father that he gave to the Nation, Mr. Maribe explained how Jacque was about to move on from Jowie. And how he and Jacque’s fiance did not have a great relationship. He spoke about how he learnt of the engagement:
She is an adult and I was not following much about their relationship. I even heard of their engagement over the media.
Mr. Maribe admitted that he had met his daughter’s boyfriend but claimed that they were not on good terms. He claimed that Jacque Maribe wanted to end the relationship, even trying to get back her valuables from Joe Irungu:
She asked Irungu to return her car keys and ATM card. Even when they went back to the house, Jacque threw some of his clothes out. The man threatened to kill himself after Jacque said she would leave him. He borrowed a gun and shot himself.
This is sad. Asking for a woman’s ATM card without any shame! Jacque’s father also went on to explain why his daughter gave out contradicting information. He said:
She may have felt responsible for his attempted suicide. At that time, she did not know about Monica and her connections to Irungu.
Mr. Maribe has also defended his daughter’s behaviour saying that her ascent to the top echelons of her career shows that she is a woman of character:
If she had bad manners, she could not have reached to the levels where she is right now.
