Word reaching Mpasho.co.ke is that news anchor Jacque Maribe has resigned from her position at Citizen TV.
Jacque who is facing a murder charge over the brutal killing of businesswoman Monica Kimani is currently out on bail.
One of the bail conditions set by Justice James Wakiaga was that “the accused shall not read news or comment on any matter about this case.
She cannot interview anyone related to the case. This order is subject to review from the court from time to time.”
Justice Wakiaga also stipulated the following in his ruling.
- Maribe should not make any contact with any prosecution witnesses either directly or indirectly until the final determination of this case
- Maribe will not read news comment or participate in an interview directly or indirectly involved in this case
- Maribe will not read news until the case is over
She was released on Sh1 million cash bail and was granted an alternative of Sh2 million bond or three sureties of a similar amount.
Now, eight months later, Maribe has made the decision to quit her job at Royal media services.
Our source who is privy to the news, told Mpasho.co.ke, “She has resigned on personal grounds.”
Other sources from the media house whispered to us saying that “Jacque Maribe wants to concentrate on her case, clear her name and get back into the game.”
From us at Mpasho we wish her all the best in this new journey.
Maribe is yet to officially comment on the matter.
