Weeks after she resigned at Citizen TV journalist, Jacque Maribe, has purposed to stay away from the public eye.

Word on the street is that she resigned after her bosses found out that her request "to be excused from work on July 3, over personal reasons" was splashed on the headlines of all the newspapers the next day.

The bosses found out that she had run straight to DCI headquarters where Dennis Itumbi was being held for questioning.

This was after Dennis was arrested from the CBD on the day over claims that he penned down a letter alleging that four cabinet secretaries were plotting to kill Deputy President, William Ruto.

The now controversial selfie of Dennis in Muthaiga police station was also a dead giveaway for the newscaster.

"They were caught off guard by that, they simply gave her the option of either resign or get sacked. She chose to resign instead," a source told Mpasho.co.ke.

On Saturday, Dennis Itumbi walked past the media covering Anne Waiguru's wedding in Kirinyaga, with his boys, Jacque was not in sight.

When he was asked where Jacque is, Itumbi laughed off the question and kept walking.

Later, Jacque was spotted seated in the low key section of VIP. Not many people noticed her entrance and quiet exit.

"Yes, she was here, I saw her seated with a lady friend of hers. She looked like she was in high spirits. Jacque was wearing a short skirt with a white fancy top," a source whispered to Mpasho.co.ke.
