Lizzo is among the many women who are cyberbullied because of their appearance and speaking in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she said,

Self-love isn’t being delusional.… Every day I have to remind myself to look in the physical mirror, the emotional mirror, the spiritual mirror. But I don’t go, ‘Do I look like this model or this actress?’ I have to hold myself to my own standards. So am I the Lizzo that I looked like last year when I was on my juice cleanse and working out six times a week with my trainer? No. But am I a bad bitch? Yes!”.

Recently, controversial Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe attacked Lizzo, referring to her as an elephant. In one of her posts, Huddah wrote,

WHY IS IT OKAY TO SHAME SKINNY WOMEN. CALL THEM SKINNY. LACKING MEAT? WHEN A FAT WOMAN IS FAT SHE CAN’T BE CALLED FAT COZ THAT THAT WILL BE TERMED AS BODY SHAMING? THEY SAY SHE IS CONFIDENT IN HER OWN SKIN AND CALL HER THICK. B***H IS FAT! A WHOLE ELEPHANT. LET’S JUST STOP LYING TO THESE WOMEN. AND PROMOTE HEALTHY LIVING.

Talking about what her experience with cyberbullies, Lizzo said

There’s a lot of anxiety in society. I’ve suffered from it, and it’s awful, it’s debilitating, I know what that feels like.... And now I think there’s a new wave of people just leaning towards seeking joy…. The apex of positivity, I don’t know where it is, but I hope this is just the beginning because I got more... There is a lot more where that came from!
