Rose Muhando has had a terrible year as far as news headlines go. From unsubstantiated allegations that she had procured an abortion to her using drugs, the news has not been great from a PR standpoint.

Last week she popped onto our radars again after a video surfaced of the singer being exorcised by Pastor James Ng'ang'a.

The video was disturbing to watch for many and questions about her state of mind and being were asked. And one thing that was asked was why she was at Pastor Ng'ang'a's church and who advised her to go there in the first place?

The person responsible was Kamba gospel musician Stephen Kasolo who had known the troubled singer for 3 years.

Accusations then ensued that Kasolo was manipulating Muhando by pushing her into drugs and a forced intimated relationship. But Kasolo denied the claims telling the Nairobian:

I've never introduced Muhando to drugs or any intimate relationship with her. If anyone has evidence of that, they should come out and prove it. Some people claim I have been hiding her. That's not true. As a matter of fact, Rose's relatives came for her to help her get further treatment and she left the country.

On November 27th, Kasolo and Muhando released a new song called "Musitutafute" which now has 41k views on YouTube. Kasolo told the Nairobian about the song:

I'm happy that the hit has been received well. Those who are talking ill of us are idle.

And to add to his claim that he and Muhando are good friends, he published a video interview that happened back in July this year that showed Muhando speaking about him in a radio interview. Muhando says about Kasolo:

Kwa kweli Mungu amenipa roho ye kumpenda kama vile mwanamke anapompenda mume wake.

How will this tale end for Rose, an artist who has touched so many hearts with her music?
