Female rapper Sugar is one of the few Kenyan artistes who are giving back to the society. She has recently released an album dubbed "Sweet," which was produced by Phoenix Recordz.

Her at Ebony Lounge was attended by Macklemore Trumpeter Owuor Arunga, Chocolate City CEO rapper M.I., Fundi Frank, Muthoni DQ among others.

Sugar's songs focus on girl on girl empowerment and the proceeds from her album sales will go to supporting orphans at Paradise Community Center. She is also a mentor at the home.

This is a huge sacrifice as many artistes in Kenya are concentrating on making money to cater for their bills.

"Our children are our nation's future, I feel we need to stand together and help them grow to build a better tomorrow for our country," she says.

Sugar has previously performed at the East Africa Motor Show, Goethe Institut, Miss JKUAT events, Sauti Za Mabinti at Alliance Franchise, Chaguo La Teeniez awards among other places. She's best known for her song 2 5 Flow in collaboration with Victoria Kimani's brother and artiste Bamboo. Every Kenyan artise should look upto her.
