Kago Kacingiri is the Co-founder of Eneza Education. Kago taught himself how to code at the tender age of 7. When he was 21 he grew the interest to develop mobile applications for areas that do not have Internet coverage.

The Educational Technology (EdTech) company seeks to help students from less fortunate backgrounds access exam preparation materials without Internet connection. The company has been inspired by the fact that 3-5 million students in rural areas do not have basic learning resources.

According to a recent blog post on the Eneza Education website, Kenya has a high school transition rate of about 77 percent. This means that if 889,107 candidates sit for KCPE, 204,494 candidates would not be joining high school. This is because of poor grades and partly because of the limited space in provincial and national secondary schools.

With this in mind, Kago and his company has created a platform that students who would want to revise for their KCPE exams can use to be more prepared. The result? An increase in high school admission in the areas that the app has already been in operation.

Eneza's platfrom, according to Forbes, "has reached 350,000 students and teachers across 5,000 schools in Kenya; plans to scale to 2 million students, adding Tanzania and Ghana, through 2015."
