Kenya's deputy president William Ruto is not one to show off. That is why a rare photo of the DP's private jet is breaking the net.

The photo shows the inside look of a jet used by the DP on his many travels as he carries out his duties.

The photo shared by a Martoh Muriithi the County Coordinator of Team Uhuru, the deputy president poses for a selfie taken by Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei.

"Senator Cherargai and H.E William Ruto Jetting back to Nairobi aboard Kenya Airforce Jet. This is among the first images being leaked out to the public of how this jet looks like Inside," Muriithi captioned the photo.

Facebookers did not seem to be mesmerized by the interior of this luxury bird.

One George Maina noted, "The lighting is too dull."

"It looks like the old buses (used in shags) called face me. I don't like the interiors," Murigi said.

Politicians deem air travel a necessity. But not only that owning a jet or a private helicopter is not only a status symbol, but a bold statement about their financial muscle mostly directed at their opponents.

Some of the politicians rumoured to own helicopters beside DP Ruto are President Kenyatta, Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, Gideon Moi, former President Mwai Kibaki, Embu Senator Lenny Kivuti and Simeon Nyachae
