Nairobi's Central Business District on Monday morning witnessed a heavy police presence ahead of Azimio la Umoja second rally.

By around 5 am, police were already in the streets of Nairobi.

Water cannons were also insight and stationed at strategic places.

However, by 9 am, there were no signs of Azimio protestors and their leaders in the CBD.

This was contrary to last week's events whereby by 8 am, opposition protestors and their leaders had started streaming into the city centre.
