Rwandan president Paul Kagame joins Uhuru Kenyatta in the grandpa's club.

Today he welcomes his first grandchild by daughter Ange Kagame who is married to Bertrand Ndengeyingoma.

In a tweet, Kagame excitedly announced,

"Since yesterday we are very happily and 'officially' grand parents. Congratulations A&B!!

..:):):) What a joy!?"

Adding,

"First time is even more exciting!"

Ange is the second child and only daughter of Paul Kagame. She has been involved in causes that include women's empowerment, education, and poverty eradication, as well as mass vaccination campaigns.

Announcing the start of her marriage, Ange tweeted on July 8, 2019,

"I have found the one whom my soul loves”– Songs of Solomon 3:4."
