Award winning singer Valerie Kimani is expecting baby number two soon.
She revealed all this in a moving tribute to mothers this was coupled with a cute photo of her baby bump.
Valerie took to her Instagram and wrote,
"I have a love/hate relationship with memes.
I love that they can so easily make me laugh and just as easily make me lazy. Lazy in the sense that it’s easier to pass a meme along than say what I actually feel."
"This Mother’s Day was different and special, not just because of my own little bundle, but because the Corona isolation has offered me an opportunity to really connect with the people around me. So instead of just wishing you a (belated) happy Mother’s Day, here’s what I actually want to say to you:
To the mom who, like me, is bringing a new life into the world during a vulnerable and uncertain time, God’s got you.
To the mom who’s lost your own mom, I hope you feel her especially close.
To the mom who doesn’t feel like a good mom, you’ll always be worthy of honor and love just for being a mom.
"To the mom who has lost your child/ren or had a miscarriage, you will always be your baby’s first love.
To the mother of the motherless, you’re a real life queen. 👑
To the mom who pours your heart and soul into your kids everyday for no reward and no glory, you show us the very nature of God.
If the words #happymothersday were banned forever, what would you say instead?"
Valerie also announced that she has a new song out called ‘Mutumia’ (Woman), atribute to the five generations of mothers in her family.
