Being a public figure in Kenya is not easy. You cannot live an easy life; paparazzi's are always everywhere on the lookout to monitor what you are doing. Recently, Hassan Omar, the Mombasa County senator caused a stir on social media when photos of him dressed in full football kit surfaced.

Hassan Omar was part of one of the football teams that took part in the Huria, peace and security football tournament that was held at Bomani Grounds over the weekend. Arguably one of the most hard-working senators, Hassan Omar is among the few politicians who have managed to keep their private lives away from the public despite being rich.

But if I may ask, which Kenyan politician do you think can put away his suits and dress in a tiny short and jersey and join people in the slums in a competition? Hassan Omar is just extraordinary.
