The rise and rise of comedian Eddie Butita

• The comedian is one of the Kenyans who accompanied President William Ruto on his US state visit.

Comedian and scriptwriter Eddie Butita was one of the lucky Kenyan celebs who accompanied President William Ruto on his State trip to the USA.

On his trip there, Butita met American TV heavyweight Steve Harvey who was very complimentary of Eddie, telling him that he had watched him on YouTube.

But while some might be surprised about the clout Eddie has, the prolific scriptwriter has been hard at work making incremental steps in the entertainment industry and his success at the moment shouldn't come as a shock.
