In July last year, Zarina Hassan's mother was pronounced dead. Ms. Halima Hassan succumbed to death after being admitted to the ICU for days.

According to the family, she faced death after suffering a heart attack followed by complications due to diabetes.

Months later, Zari has penned down a women's day message to the late. She has described her as a credible and strong woman who passed that to her.
