Not so long ago, Mike Sonko's daughter Saumu took to social media to introduce the man enjoying her warmth, Benson Philip Gatu. Many congratulated the two lovebirds and we were convinced that Saumu's family, especially the father, had "approved" the relationship, only to come out and blast the 25-year-old man, calling him a joyrider and only using Saumu for mileage.

'I am very bitter about this and advise other leaders not to allow their daughters or family members to fall into this trap,"

he told a local daily. A few weeks ago, the two left tongues wagging after arriving at a political rally hosted by Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau in a helicopter, and it seems, despite Mike Sonko's stern warning, Saumu will always support her fiance. Benson, who is vying for the Mathioya parliamentary seat, was recently hosted by Ebru TV to talk about young people in politics, and he talked much, including his relationship with the daughter of the flamboyant Nairobi senator.

Speaking during an interview with Ebru TV, Gatu said that:

"having a fiancée from a political family was a good thing and that he would like he and Saumu to be the ‘Bill and Hilary’ of Kenyan politics."

Did you get that, Bwana Senator? Did you know Bill and Hilary Clinton are regarded as the most powerful couple in American politics? So in short, Saumu is also an upcoming politician, or what did Gatu mean by this statement?

He further went ahead to reveal that he

"was looking forward to marrying Saumu 'soon'".

When asked whether Sonko is the one funding his lavish lifestyle and the source of his political capital, he denied that, saying he is a self-made businessman funding his political campaign independently. There you have it! We wish the wedding will be too soon, as Gatu said.
