Today there will be a total solar eclipse - meaning that the sun will be blocked out completely from our view; and it's the last time this will ever happen. So, if you miss it...you'll lose the only chance to experience it.

Here's why; the moon moves away from our planet at a rate of 3.8 centimeters a year. It has been doing so for billions of years. With time, the moon will be close to the sun, hence its size won't be able to cover the sun entirely.

Right now, the moon seems to be 400 times larger than the sun. The next time the moon and sun will be aligned and cast a dark shadow on planet Earth will be 563 million years according to.

Don't want to miss out the eclipse? Most of it will be in North Africa, America and Europe from 11.30 AM local time.
