Kenyans are still mourning the untimely death of PR Guru and media personality Lorna Irungu Macharia after she succumbed to covid-19.

Lorna, a mother of one, had been battling Lupus, and had also gone through three kidney transplants before her demise.

Speaking in an interview with Sunny Bindra, Lorna shared how she used to go to the studio despite being on dialysis.

'When Kiss 100 was launched I used to work with Caroline Mutoko.

At the time I was still on Dialysis and would go for three sessions per week.

It was already pressure being in the studio at 6:00 am but I kept going.

I kept going, I had to find a way to stay alive just for myself.'

Adding

'At some point, my mum even called my siblings and told them she did not think I would make it.

Visibility at the time became a problem, I lost hair, I lost weight and people started saying that I had Aids.'

Lorna had lived with Lupus for years. Her remains will be interred today in the presence of close friends and family.

She was a fighter till the end, may her soul rest in perfect peace and may her family find strength to deal with the loss.
