I Wished My Family Abroad A Happy 2017 The Safaricom 4G Way!

The date was 31st December. A special Saturday. The last day of 2016. I had to get my voice out, and heard all over the world. Who doesn't wanna scream Happy 2017, kwanza to family and friends?

This is just what I had in mind. To make as many calls as I can to as many people and get me and my little family singing wonderful holiday tunes in silly voices to their extended family wherever they are living around the world.

Years back, such greetings were only relayed through season's greeting cards which you had to send weeks in advance and wait in faith that the recipient shall get to read it one day ...but today, you don't need to wait! Communication is so fast, so clear, so efficient. You cannot afford to wait for weeks before your loved ones hear from you.

Not any more!

So back to my experience. We made the numerous phone calls. Good thing, this time round, it was video call, over internet. You know what? This one worked like magic. It worked so well I couldn't believe that my smart phone could access the world with so much ease, speed and clarity!

I need to let you in on the secret. Before the year had run out, I bought the 4G sim card, along with a gadget that can accommodate its service. I then went home well armed with the best that Safaricom 4G can offer.

At exactly 11.55 PM on the last day of 2016, we hit it with those video calls. It was New Yar in our time zone here and it was very special for the children. We called Shosh who was on holiday in USA. We then called a few friends in chilly Europe, and one other family in Australia.

The Safaricom 4G network cannot give you those embarrassing hung ups that are experienced even with some WIFI networks. No. Things were smooth as butter!

Now, my story shall encourage you to make a visit to the nearest Safaricom shop, have a friendly chat with the customer officers who will be eager to serve you, and to welcome you to the 4G family.
