Men in blue are on a mission to retain the city's lost glory. They are fighting tooth and nail for the security of Nairobi residents and of late, we have seen many gunned down every single day.

Well, on Friday, a young Kenyan man by the name Isaack Kamau Wangura was gunned down by a policeman along Jogoo road on the March 21 and his sister; Ruth Mumbi has spoken about the incident.

"On 21/4/17 at around 2230hrs, a senior police officer driving along Jogoo Rd was accosted by a lone gunman. He fatally injured the gunman after an altercation and recovered a pistol that was previously stolen from another officer in 2015," read a statement from Kenya Alerts

Ruth shocked social media users after she vowed to avenge the killing claiming that her younger brother's shooting was a case of extra-judicial killing and that he wasn't a notorious and most wanted thug as the police claim. Ruth Mumbi who is yet to be convinced that Kamau was a wanted criminal despite the police report that they have been looking for him for the past year.

"It's hard and painful to say RIP, to my baby brother, our beloved last born Kamau Mwangi. Your sudden death gives me another reason to stand against impunity by the rogue police and the broken systems in Kenya. I will avenge your death by making sure your sons will live in a country where human life is valued and protected.

I commit my life to stand against the systematic profiling of Kenyan youths and especially in the Ghettos. You died while calling out my name for help.

Let your voice always whisper to me and be the strength I will need to stand against abuse and violations of human rights and especially right to life. Your humor, generosity, and smile will be greatly missed." Mumbi posted on Facebook accompanied by the photo below.

The post raised mixed reactions and here are some of the comments;
