Former KTN presenter Tero Mdee has finally opened up on her spiritual journey seven years after she left TV. Now known as Nancy Hebron, Tero was one of the celebrated TV girls in Kenya. The multi-award winning former fashion icon says she's not involved in a cult, like what many would say.

"I was not brain washed, Wasn't forced into doing anything, it was not a cult and its still not a cult. I did it in my free will, It was a decision I made and I can't change it for anything."

Tero who is now married to prophet Hebron told Amina Abdi on The Trend that she met the love of her life through her brother.

"Hebron was my brother's friend, that person who has always been a friend you confide in and you never looked at in that way and he ends up thats way. Thats Hebron."

Her hubby prophesied about the re-run of the Kenyan election.

She has in the past been seen casting out evil spirits from her congregants. She says its a calling that led her to leave KTN to pursue.

"My spiritual journey started a long time ago. I was ignoring it, I wanted to serve God but I didn't know His plan was to serve in ministry. Before I left, I knew I was leaving to go and do ministry. There are things I used to do just kill me I would start judging myself why do I do that. I tried to stop but I wouldn't be able to stop and I was like this has got to stop."

Tero Mdee is sister to one of East Africa's most celebrated artiste, Vanessa Mdee. Coming from a musical family, Tero had tried to do secular music.

"I sang ever since I was a kid. I tried to do secular music. It was not released, it was like a chorus."

The mother of three (two daughters and a son) is currently ruling the airwaves with the song Taa Ya Miguu Yangu.
