Stylish city pastor Robert Burale has seen it all this year. The father of one tested positive for Covid-19 in early July this year and was hospitalised at the Nairobi Hospital.

While in hospital, Burale decided to go live on social media, hoping to warn Kenyans who were taking Coronavirus lightly, advising them to be careful but this didn't go well.

The father of one was criticised with many claiming he had been paid millions to lie or rather act.

Speaking in an interview with Jalangó for the first time after recovering, Burale shared his harrowing experience during the time he was sick.

I've learnt there's a God who gave me peace and joy that surpassed all human understanding because mine was an onslaught. I was getting calls from bishops from America...it was heavy. it's only by the grace of God that I walked out healthy physically and mentally because I'm also human.

He continued,

Did it hurt? yes. but in the pain I still saw the hand of God....he healed me because people died. Was I scared at some point I was gonna die? Yes, I got scared. was I worrying for my daughter? Yes! was I worrying for my mother? it is not good for a parent to bury their child. We've buried three members of our immediate family; two siblings and my father. What else would this woman take? buried her husband, children and then you want to bury another one?

The man of God said, for now, he was focusing on serving God.

'...my leadership school go on. my mentorship and men's conference so that when I die, they say here lies a great man. I want to be remembered as a person who made great mistakes, never shied away from them. I wanted to move forward but my past refused to let me go. The most important thing is that I fell, looked at where I slipped and got up and kept moving so that the day God says you are done then I say fine, I have seen the good, the bad but I've kept the faith.
