Kenyan spin master Martin Kimathi also known as DJ Moz has shared how stressed he was before going to ask for his in-law's permission to wed their daughter.

Moz who is married to Deborah Kimathi shared a throwback of themselves in Scotland where his wife hails from.

'#TBT Took this photo in April 2008 in Scotland. This was an interesting week for me. I went to Scotland to ask Debs dad for her hand in marriage. This was an interesting experience for me because here, in my culture, it's the parents and your uncles/relas who go to the in-laws to ask for marriage.'

Moz said that he was scared but decided to man up.

I was freaking scared because I was alone, no crew to back me up, I didn't know how to do it, and what his response would be. Her entire family knew why I had travelled to the UK and wondered why I was taking so long to ask Debs mum, Dad and aunt dropped hints...but I was too nervous. I finally got the confidence on my last day in Scotland.

Adding,

'I Woke up just before her dad left for work and I asked him for permission and he said yes.

The couple got married and now have three children and they are still thriving.
