Gospel artiste Eko Dydda has revealed how his lack of knowledge of his mother tongue almost made him lose his life during the 2007 post-election violence.

Eko Dydda who is known for songs such as Niko Na Reason' narrated this during the morning show 'Day Break' which airs on Citizen TV.

'I was almost killed for not knowing my venacular language at the time. During the post election violence I was cornered.

they set a radio near me and told me to translate what was being said.

I almost lost my life.

Eko Dydda has in the past few months been followed by a dark cloud of infidelity allegations from his wife of more than nine years.

In March this year, Eko Dydda denied that his marriage had hit rock after whispers on the street claimed he had chased his family out of their matrimonial home.

To neutralize that, the gospel star muffled and killed the rumours by posting a video of him hanging out with his wife and children at a city mall, together.

Cynthia, came out to expose his infidelity in an angry Instagram post saying:

“BREAKING SOMEONE’S MARRIAGE IS NOT GODLY, I INVITED YOU AS A FRIEND, TODAY UNASEMA AMBIA EKO DYDDA NOT TO BRING ME HOME BECAUSE LOVE YENU HAITA GROW. (BECAUSE YOUR LOVE WON’T GROW)”

Adding,

”IT’S NOT A BATTLE, @EKODYDDA YOU DON’T HAVE TO HIDE IT ANYMORE YOUR ‘DOPE’ IS FREE TO LOVE YOU, SOMETIMES IT’S HEALTHY TO WALK AWAY. NA LEO NDIO ILE SIKU (TODAY IS THAT DAY), I WILL NOT HIDE IT FOR FAME OR MONEY, I WILL STAND WITH THE TRUTH AND WILL NEVER EVER LIE TO PEOPLE.”

Mpasho.co.ke reached out to Eko Dydda who said;

“I HAVE TOLD YOU MANY TIMES THAT I DON’T RESPOND TO ANYTHING NEGATIVE.”

The Kenyan gospel musician has also deleted his wife’s pictures from his Instagram page.

Asked why he deleted, Eko Dydda said;

THE REASON IS BECAUSE A CELEBRITY IS ALSO HUMAN.

HE CAN ALSO DECIDE TO DELETE THINGS FROM THEIR PAGE. IT IS NOT A MUST THAT IT IS A NEGATIVE REASON, THERE ARE OTHER REASONS.
