DJ Mo oozes class wherever he goes but it has been a journey creating the brand he is now. According to Mo he had to do different hustles.

To be able to achieve his dreams MO had to do different hustles among them being a dancer (who would have imagined?).

Speaking during an interview with DJ MO said,

I used to be a dancer where we used to be paid Ksh 500 per album in those river road albums.

I was also a conductor, I would be given squads to pick money from passengers from Rongai to the CBD.

DJ MO is among Kenyan celebs who have had to do many hustles to survive before fame came knocking.

Octopizzo worked as a ‘mjengo’ guy and an electrician in Industrial Area.

Speaking about his life in the past Octo says,

I have been a real hustler, I have done ‘mjengo’ and other hustles. I believe these taught me some life lessons.

Larry Madowo had also confessed to vending tea to survive.

Larry who lost both his parents at a very young age had to help in his aunt’s tea and mandazi kiosk in Gikomba in a bid to raise funds for their upkeep.

DJ Mo and Size 8 previously launched their family business a car wash and a beauty parlour on Dennis Pritt Road called Friends Executive Motor Spa.
