Following the recent wrangles at the Music Copyright Society Of Kenya (MCSK), where the CEO, Maurice Okoth and other officials have been charged for allegedly conspiring to defraud the society.

The four have been charged with four counts of allegedly stealing more than Sh85 million from the society by false pretence.

“We Are Not Guilty” MCSK Officials Charged With Stealing Sh85 Million Deny The Accusations

Well, gospel artists Ringtone is among those who are not happy at all with the leadership at MCSK and he has protested before to have the CEO, Maurice Okoth investigated for malpractice.

Ringtone was pleased that the CEO and other officials accused of theft were finally arrested and charged in court, especially after his recent protest on the manner in which artists royalties are being handled poorly by the collecting bodies.

I managed to contact the flamboyant singer and get his two cents on this issue, where he admitted that he did not say that Maurice and the rest are guilty, but feels that they should step aside to clear their name so that organisation can move forward.

He also mentioned that he does not understand why they are using the lawyer for MCSK to defend them, yet it's not a case against the organisation but individuals who have been charged.
