Akothee has revealed that at one point in her life, she threatened her mum that she would commit suicide.
The single mother of five, narrated how one day she was sent to grind maize at a posho mill but never returned home.
She narrated how she left maize at the posho mill to meet her crush – her now ex and father of her three daughters – and spent the night at his house.
The following day, she went to her grandmother’s house, where her mother went to pick her and she threatened to commit suicide if she beat her.
Her post read:
I left my maize at the posho mill, ran to see my crush baba Vesha , then I forgot to come home, so I extended the night and went to grandma the next day 😂, because my grandfather would always protect me , then, when my mum came to pick me I knew it was messed up , so I threatened her that I would commit suicide if she try to beat me up, 🤣😂😂, I wonder why life beat me up and I haven’t killed myself 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Akothee, who’s currently in Turkana invited her fans to share their crazy stories after they were sent to the posho mill.
‘Tell me one crazy thing you did on your way to poshomill,’ she posted. Some of the reactions include:
Jaber Nyar Got I once left my sack of mahindi kwa posho mill just to escort my boyfriend coz the line was long and I was to be back before turn yangu ya kusiaga ifike. By the time I was coming back kwa kisiagi,it was already dark and I found ishafungwa already. I had 100 bob that my boyfriend had gifted me,so I decided to buy unga ya pakiti ndo nikienda home niseme stima zilipotea kabla nisiage. Long story short, nilipigwa vita kiVietnam coz Mom alikuwa ametuma bro anifuate akapata siyuko kwa posho mill na mahindi iko hapo. So alisiaga akapeleka home . That is how I didn’t even get that chance of lying and walking away without a beating😂😂😂. So called life. Mia moja yangu hata ningejua ningekulia kaimati nishibe nikipigwa nijue tumbo limejaa😂😂😂
Joji Firstborn Nani mwingine walilala njaa baada ya sister yake kutumwa akasiage unga akaenda kuolewa nayo😭😭😭😭
Moffat W Jackson They stopped sending me to the posho mill when they realized that i usually don’t pay but I tell the guy,”wamesema uchote.”so that i could pocket the cash
Moffat W Jackson So in 1999 kulikuwa na njaa like in the whole country, in luhya we used to call it,”sava lulala,”meaning nawa mara moja since you could only eat one meal a day,so my uncle and i couldn’t take it, we used to wait for night fall kukiwa na giza then hide in corners na kushtua watoto wakitoka tinga and take their flour as they run…but i repented once the drought ended.
Brian Olima 😂 poshomill manenos. We had a poshomill and every evening I could siaga for this village girl for free thinking I’ll win her ♥. Hata mapenzi haikupita centimeter moja
Aphines Wafula I used to eat raw dried maize meant for flour on my way to the posho mill.So when I came back the flour is reduced. My mum then started comparing if my brother go to posh mill no reduction but when I was send it was reduced automatically. That’s how I was exempted from going to the posho mill.Nimetoka mbali walahi
Bigogo Bae Some of our mamas could beat us for nothing “eti sikugonga gonga na kuvuta ile kagunia kanafungwa kwa outlet ndio unga iwe mingi” the next time naenda kusiaga nagonga gonga mpaka mwenye poshomill ananikataza. Nway nakupenda mama
