A 10-year-old partially deaf schoolgirl who claims bullies hung her from a tree with a skipping rope was worried about getting in trouble when a teacher came to her aid.

Amber Yoon, who has a rare heart defect and an oesophagus disconnected from her stomach, was found struggling to breathe with the rope acting as a noose.

Students at Queen of Apostles Catholic School in the Perth suburb of Riverton, allegedly strung Amber up by her neck last Friday, causing her to choke.

The little girl was reportedly cut loose by a teacher who gave her a stern warning before learning the near-death stunt was not her idea.

Ms Yoon said her daughter has had to have to counselling for her anxiety following the alleged attack.

The mother believes a harder stance needs to be taken against schoolyard bullies, with automatic suspensions and public apologies in front of their peers - a tactic she believes will be more embarrassing and more of a deterrent to children.

The school, which claims to offer children a 'nurturing, inclusive and safe environment' and has the motto 'love, unity and peace' said in a statement that it 'continues to consult with the families impacted'.

She has withdrawn both Amber and her nine-year-old brother, Hunter from Queens of Apostles, and is currently in talks with CEWA to find a new school for the pair.

No one has been arrested or charged.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted the school for comment.
