Many of us always assume that when a celebrity appears on TV or in the newspaper, they've made it in life. There's this assumption that celebrities take home huge chunks of money every end month, but in the real sense, that's not the case.

Most of them survive on hand to mouth while some earn average salaries which aren't enough.

In short, having thousands of followers on Instagram doesn't mean you earn the same amount (as the number of your followers).

Well, media personality cum singer Kalekye Mumo has finally addressed the misconceptions that she earns millions every month.

According to the bodacious presenter, her followers assume that she earns a lot of money but...

"Most people assume I am rich & should be perfect because I have a job that’s in the limelight... guys it’s just a job and it doesn’t pay much, they just dress you up and do your makeup so you are TV ready."

Adding;

"Most people assume that I should have perfect SKIN... I don’t... in fact I have a skin condition called psoriasis which has currently flared up beyond my imagination (go read up about it) and ohh you expect my pictures should show a perfectly made up person coz apparently I have a makeup artist who follows me everywhere every day, my friend who can afford that? I do my own make up day to day and it’s HARD... I swim to work out so I will have shaggy hair from time to time as I hustle I don’t always have time or money to go get dolled up 24/7 just to please you who I don’t even know.

I am trying and I am not here to give you a fake perfect me... I left that to the slay queens.. I am here as a woman of God living a normal life and I can only aim to be as good as Jesus Christ."
