Dennis Itumbi has come to the defence of comedian Eric Omondi after he was arrested by the DCI over his show 'Wife Material season 2'.

According to Dennis, KFCB should have found a better way to handle the situation.

Taking to his social media he penned,

'We must find a different instrument of dealing with CREATIVE ECONOMY 'Crimes' - Arrest is too PUNITIVE for just being Imaginative and Creative. #FreeEricOmondi

Below are some of the reactions to Dennis' saying he must watch Eric Omondi's show.

shikosem: Its unpalatable crap. The guy is very talented he doesn't need to all this shenanigans.
shiroannofficial: I always agree with you but this one i don't,, the recent contents from Eric Omondi are wanting, shame shame especially what happened yesterday. I am not saying he should be arrested but he need to change, what he is doing right now is not comedy anymore.
onyangoasembo: I smell a slow death of creative industry if this is how we'll handle such cases.
munene_njeru: The issue at hand is not about creativity. It's about the content produced vis-a-vis the society (who are the consumers of the content).
We have kids and teenagers consuming the content from the creative industry. The Nexus between the two is KFCB's job description.
To ensure content released is rated and addressed to the right audience.
So Eric, has been broadcasting content that honestly is rated +18 without first consulting the board to discuss and agree how this content will be released to protect the vulnerable cohort (kids and teenagers). Unless you want us to run a country without law and order.
