Bridget Achieng, the one happy soul we know is mourning.
As many were celebrating their fathers over the weekend, Bridget Achieng was mourning.
Bridget has portrayed herself as a strong no-nonsense lady but at the end of the day, she has a heart.
She wrote an open letter to her father commemorating the good times they shared and the lessons he taught her.
Bridget misses her father who fought her battles.
She has gone through so much and she says most of those things would not be happening to her if only he was alive.
Bridget has had a tough life. She opened up in an interview with mpasho talking about the hustles she went through from her childhood where she was teased for being a fat child!
The one thing she always emphasizes is, if her mother appreciated her maybe she would not have lightened her skin (one of the biggest issue people have with her).
Bridget puts it out there that she lightened her skin so that she could feel pretty and accepted.
Men are also one of the biggest reason why women change.
Not only skin lightening but also the fact that women dress a certain way all for men and the society to appreciate them.
That was Bridget growing up. More to that she opened up about her uncle molesting her when she was a child.
Probably the reason why she says if her father was still alive, there are things she wouldn’t have gone through.

Bridget Achieng lost her father when she was only 12.
Her uncle took her under his care but ended up taking advantage of her. She says her mother never paid much attention to her even as she cried for help because she was always working.
When I was 12 my father passed away and I was left with my uncle who used to molest me when I was a kid. When I cried for help, no one could hear me because my mum used to come home late when she was very tired and she didn’t have time because of the younger kids…
Bridget shared an emotional message to her late father on social media.
