Embakasi East MP Babu Owino is not new to controversy.
He loves thriving on controversy and he has been trending after making demeaning comments about McDonald Mariga.
The vocal legislator together with his fellow ODM counterparts have been camping in Kibra, campaigning for Imran Okoth, who’s vying for the parliamentary seat.
Former footballer Mariga m of Jubilee and Imran (Ken Okoth’s brother) of ODM are the top contestants for the seat.
Well, Babu’s remarks on Mariga and Ken Okoth’s baby Anne Thumbi have ignited mixed reactions among Kenyans.
Some have criticized Babu Owino while others are supporting him. But wait, politics is a dirty game, Mariga, the new kid on the block should get used to the insults.
Even Jubilee’s Kieleweke and Tanga Tanga groups fight each other.
Babu has come out to respond to critics, saying he learnt the insults from his ‘lords’.
I learnt this politics of hurling insults from my political elders. I listened when Baba was called Mganga consistently (imagine how a mganga’s shrine looks like) when he was called a mad man, when he was called a lord of poverty, when he was called Kipii (uncircumcised), even Trump taught me some, then I devised my own coz I knew that was the right direction given from the politically experienced. Let the old teach us the young the right way and morals of life.No apologies still, Raila must be respected,’ HE POSTED ON his social media accounts.
In another post, he wrote,
Those with feelings wapeleke kwa crematorium. Raila must be respected by Ruto
Kenyans have reacted to babu’s post and reactions include;
Kipyegon Gideon So you’re confirming to us that you don’t have a mind of your own unlike the brilliant late Ken Okoth.
David Kirui I thought the young parliamentarians will inject new blood and thinking into the system? The struggle continues

Goodluck John Babu you as politicians you should always remember that the young people of this nation emulate you as leaders and you should teach them good morals and virtues. The future of this country is in your hands as leaders.
