In the last two months, we have lost celebrity mothers to pregnancy complications. Mzee Yusuf's second wife Chiku Khamis Tumbo, Drusilla Sonko aka Dru Sonko and Dr Njeri Muigai (DJ Stylez sister) are among the many mothers who passed away while giving birth.

Dru Sonko died at a popular city hospital while giving birth luckily her baby survived. The late was married to Dan Sonko and life has never been the same to her family after her death.

Dan has taken over the responsibility of raising her two sons and he plays both the role of a father and a mother to them.

Recently, Dan Sonko penned down a moving message to his late wife exactly one month after she passed on.

"Babes,

I do not know how to pen this.

Yet another Friday is here...we are to "Thank God It's Friday"

A month ago today, you breathed your last.

Your precious heart pumped its last.

Your mission was done and your soul was lifted.

It is exactly one month since I felt my entire world shatter.

I know we shall reunite - someday

I know we shall dance again - someday

I know it shall be well - someday

My love, from this point on we'll keep the memories in our hearts and in our minds

I will keep them for D1 and D2.

There will always be a constant reminder of who you are, of your love, your generosity, your selflessness, your diligence, your strong character and faith.

Only God and You can really understand me at this point.....

The father of two who is still mourning the death of his beloved wife, has vowed to be a guardian angel to his offsprings.

"I will guard you with my life...

You and your brother will grow happy, healthy and strong in both character and faith.

I shall be your Father, your Mother, your Friend, your Guide.....so help me God," he posted accompanied by the photo below.

Dan Sonko and Dru were a perfect match made in heaven. Everyday, Sonko always writes something about his late wife. He is missing her dearly.
