Everyone loves a good biscuit, one that gives you this heavenly crunchy feeling as it settles on your tongue while you salivate and your mouth gets set to happily munch away.

Biscuits go by all kinds of fancy names depending on their maker - wafers, caramels, digestive biscuits - you name it. They are preferred to go with tea and other beverages in between meals.

One thing you may not know about biscuits is their rich history. For quick instance in Germany, biscuits have been eaten for centuries by travelers as they kept themselves busy on the train.

“Mobility played a big role when rail travelers in Hannover first bought the crunchy biscuit, because it was handy for bringing along on the train and was vacuum-packed,” reads an article in a German magazine, The Local.

The same can be said of how we eat Parle Biscuits here in Kenya. My colleague recently had a bite of Parle and was so impressed with the package. This is what he said:

“I only spent one hundred shillings to buy a packet of Parle Biscuits. I munched them on the bus as I got home from town. Surprise, the biscuits never seemed to run out! They were so many that I kept some for a later snack!”

Now it is your turn! Go and grab the hugely discounted Parle Biscuits and find out for yourself whether my friend is saying the truth!
