Over the weekend, DJ Mo attacked Nation columnist Njoki Chege after she wrote an article dubbed 'DJ Mo a flawed view of marriage and should apologise for his remarks'.

In the article, Njoki told DJ Mo to apologise to his wife Size 8 after all he took her through before marrying her.

"DJ Mo is an embarrassment to the gospel industry for his demeaning and disrespectful portrayal of his wife. By showing us that he manipulated her into a marriage, he is basically telling us that she is a gullible and naïve woman. The deejay needs to shed off this celebrity lifestyle and be humble. But first, he must apologise to his wife for embarrassing her and making her come across as desperate for marriage," read an extract from Njoki Chege's article. 

In the hard-hitting piece, Njoki revealed that DJ Mo believes that a wife is only good for cooking and doing household chores.

"DJ MO’S FLAWED VIEW OF MARRIAGE IS VERY CLEAR. HE BELIEVES THAT A WIFE IS ONLY GOOD FOR COOKING AND CLEANING AFTER HER HUSBAND. IN THIS AGE?

THE DEEJAY NEEDS TO SHED OFF THIS CELEBRITY LIFESTYLE AND BE HUMBLE. BUT FIRST, HE MUST APOLOGISE TO HIS WIFE FOR EMBARRASSING HER AND MAKING HER COME ACROSS AS DESPERATE FOR MARRIAGE.

IF YOU ASK ME, SIZE 8 IS NOT THE LUCKY ONE HERE, DJ MO IS. INDEED, HE SHOULD CONSIDER HIMSELF VERY LUCKY FOR BAGGING SUCH A BEAUTIFUL AND TALENTED WOMAN.

This did not go well with the gospel DJ who came out to clap back at Njoki's article calling her "a single mother who cannot keep a man".

NJOKI YOU NEED TO LOOK FOR ATTENTION SOMEWHERE ELSE.

DJ MO's followers, among the Grace Msalame and Willy Paul, came out guns blazing terming the writer as irrelevant.

Kenyans, precisely single mothers were hurt by DJ Mo's remarks and he has been forced to apologise.

The Bible warns us in Psalm 37:8 to refrain from anger as it leads to evil....While I know I have every right to stand up for myself and the integrity of my family, I erred and I made an unfortunate comment about Njoki being a single mum.

While my fury was directed to her, I ended up hurting a lot of single mums out there including my MOTHER and it’s with deep humility that I take this opportunity to apologize to you all and more specifically to Njoki Chege

I know first hand what a single mom goes through. I didn't mean to belittle single mothers and I am so sorry that my words hurt many of you. It wasn't my intention to sound so disrespectful.

I keep telling people I don't have fans but supporters, Y'all held my hand, stood with me, even fought Miss Chege on my behalf. I am greatly dismayed by the actions cause it was out of love you but you did it to cover me. As a public figure, I need to lead by example and I should depict willingness to show weakness made strong in Christ Jesus our saviour by gracefully highlighting it.

I take full responsibility of the comment and I hope that Njoki Chege and all of you will accept my sincere apology.

As a Christian, I try to be the best example everyday, at times I succeed, at times i dont. For anyone I may have offended, I apologize.
