When she came back from her hiatus and opened up about her drug addiction, Ray C shocked many of us. Her weight gain was apparent and she had to grapple with rude fans that called her out and said the most inappropriate things. It seems Ray C's problems ran deeper than most of us would've imagined.

A few minutes ago, Ray C posted on her Instagram that she hated herself for being fat. She went on to explain that she did not 'know' her fat self and couldn't relate to her. Furthermore, her manager hated her weight and told her that she had to lose some weight in order to get back to the music scene. The Na Wewe Milele singer posted a picture showing off her slimmer body and promising fans that she would start shooting next week.

I feel that this was too much pressure on a recovering drug addict. Is the music industry set up such that fat people can't succeed? What message is this self loathing sending to young girls struggling with their weight? Tell us what you think.
